I was a three pair wearer as well. I never had the original design, but I absolutely love my Leonardos. The weight did take a little adjusting to. I had glass lenses in all three of my old glasses, so it wasn't really that bad. My only concern after wearing SuperFocus over the past 6 months is durability. The thin bridge on my Leonardos seems to be a little too flexible, and at times I notice the insert isn't completely inside the frames. It does effect the clarity. I'm an artist, and I also find myself being extra guarded while working. I guess time will tell. I can't imagine ever going back to traditional glasses.

With my multi-lens trifocals, I always got dizzy trying to find the right place and doing up-close work was impossible without getting dizzy. Super Focus changed all that.

What I want next is a combination of the original and the new version -- and built into a really rugged frame. SuperFocus: you keep making them and I will keep buying. Great product! Great company!

Thanks for your thoughtful comments.
I am pleased to learn that your experience with Leonardo has been positive…and thank you for giving them a try –especially after having a bit of a rough time with our Icon series.
Of course, we are delighted also that you find wearing Superfocus glasses “liberating”!

To other readers of this Forum: Yes, Superfocus did suffer micro-leakage with certain early lots of its adjustable focus lens units. We worked hard to understand, and resolve, the subtle underlying issues. And we reached out to affected individuals to offer replacements. Virtually all sub-par product has now been replaced. But, of course, should a customer experience seepage (or other concern!) we will make it right. Superfocus is a small, rapidly growing company which prides itself on two things: offering presbyopes the best vision on the planet …and providing world-class customer care.

Thanks again for your support,
Stephen Kurtin, Inventor

Thank you for the inquiry. Superfocus apologizes for the delay in responding. Our blog was experiencing a technical problem.

Superfocus glasses would certainly be a superior choice to any traditional fixed lens. However for viewing distance while driving, Superfocus will only be as good as your current prescription.Superfocus is used to help provide better focus up close and at intermediate distances, while providing the full field of view of the lens to see through. We would love to provide you with a consultation. Please contact Superfocus at 800.900.3700 x1

This customer received his Superfocus on 01/12/13. They were just not right for him, and called to return them on 01/18/13. We want all of our customers to love their Superfocus experience, so we gladly accept returns during the 30 Day Risk Free Trial period from the small percentage of people for whom our glasses are not a great match. That's why we make the trial program available, after all.
