I did not start wearing glasses until I was in my 40s, so I have always considered glasses as a poor substitute for good eyes. In the 20 years that I have had to wear glasses, I have never been fully happy. It took me over a year just to get my eyes trained to use glasses, so I am a tough customer when it comes to seeing.
I received my new Superfocus glasses last Friday. Now it generally takes me a week or so to adjust to a new pair of glasses and I always end up looking over the top of the glasses when I talk to someone because that distance is not in my prescription. Within a day, my eyes had adjusted to the new Superfocus glasses and I found I was no longer looking over the top of my glasses when I am talking with someone.
The most amazing experience came on Sunday morning. I had adjusted the glasses so I could read the hymnbook. When the hymn was over I looked up and adjusted my glasses suing the slider. As I moved the slider everything just popped into focus–It was amazing. I can be shaving and when I look in the mirror, I realize I have not adjusted my glasses so I move the slider and bang; they pop everything into focus. I cannot explain how good that feels after fighting with multiple pairs of eyeglasses and eyeglass professionals who are more interested in telling me what they want to sell me than listening to what I want. Now I have what I want and they work well.
As the days go by, I find that I am adjusting the lenses less often as I find a focus that meets a range of uses better than any “hard” pair of glasses I ever had.
Great Glasses

I will never go back
